In the light of the runaway success of Presonus Live series, Behringer’s X32 series and others, ZAOR created a home for this type of desk in form of the MAREA desk!
It’s generous proportions allow to place controllers, digital mixers and 6 rack units worth of outboard gear, two large screens, a laptop, pad or other accessories in a compact 158 cm by 110 cm work space. Cable management is always a major concern for the ZAOR design team, so plenty of room for all those necessary wires is provided and passages in all the right places. The whole desk stands on just two sleek yet strong legs featuring solid wood, avoiding boxy and resonant designs of the past. The depth of the central mixer tray allows to cater for many different angles and shapes of controllers that seem to constantly occupy more studio real estate and reshape the production workflow. The MAREA makes the most of the primary ergonomic space, placing relevant controls within direct reach whereas rack gear is placed at arms length slightly further back. This design clearly places the DAW controller or digital mixer in the heart of the action while still allowing for vital rackable components to find a home. The desk comes in black melamine-faced chipboard with side panels, legs, armrest in solid oak or ash wood to convey a sense of its quality and durability.
MIZA 61 and 88 are perfect companions for the working producer in todays modern, hybrid environment. They provide perfectly suitable solutions to put your full masterkeyboard (88) or a smaller keyboard (61) on the practical drawer, that slides underneath the work surface when not in use. Of course you can put your computer keyboard and a controller or small mixer instead. THe important thing is that you have two levels from which to work, making sure that only the tools you are using at that moment are out in the open. Both workstations are available in bleached Oak/brushed Titanium or Beech/brushed Titanium. At this point we have no pictures of the larger version, the 88, which is in production. As soon as they are available, we'll add some real life shots to the site. We prefer always to put real pictures of our furniture instead of using renderings, that make everything look better than real... Here are a few sketches of how the 88 will look like:Both workstations are built from first quality particle board 25mm strong with a wood veneer in either bleached Oak or Beech and for the supporting structure in the same tough 25 mm particle board with a metal veneer, giving the look of brushed titanium.Measurements of MIZA 88: Height 1015 mm, overall width 1430 mm, depth overall 872 mm
More room for the big ones! While the Miza 88 FLEX is certainly spacious enough for most master keyboards, some larger varieties might exceed the spatial limitations of the desk. The Miza 88 XL FLEX adds those extra inches to perfectly fit more extensive instruments and uses the extra space to enhance the desk in general. The desk offers a larger surface area in both width and depth, making room for controllers and other desktop accessories. This extension also leads to a wider top shelf that is perfectly suited to support nearfield monitors, computer screens and accessories like external drives. In consequence of the expanded width, the central drawer from the original Miza 88 has been replaced with an additional rack bay, increasing the total amount of rack spaces to twelve. The pull-out keyboard tray offers even more room now. It can be height-adjusted to tailor to specific preferences and features its own wheeled floor support to hold heavier keyboards and synthesizers. Considering all the extra space for gear, the overhauled cable management becomes even more important to keep the workplace neat and tidy. The high-quality materials with solid wood applications and the classy design achieve that magic combination of sturdy, long-lasting working environment and stylish furniture.
A modern production studio requires very little equipment, depending on the personal preferences of the creative working there. A computer with a screen, keyboard and mouse, an interface, and a pair of speakers provide the basics that can be expanded by controllers if desired. The updated Miza Jr FLEX organizes tight modern media workspaces in style. The desktop offers a large amount of real estate for computer screens and desktop devices like audio interfaces or controllers. If you work with a lot of 19-inch gear, you can attach one or two Miza Gripracks to the desk, giving you up to eight units of desktop rack space. A robust and height-adjustable pull-out tray adds extra space for devices like a 61 keyboard; with the new update, the tray has even gained usable width without changing the overall footprint of the desk. You could also just put your keyboard and mouse on the tray and use the desktop for video controllers or a graphic tablet – with its versatility, Miza Jr FLEX becomes exactly what you need. For additional comfort, Miza Jr FLEX now manages all cables and wires even more conveniently, thus neatly organising your workplace. The elegant Miza design with its solid wood applications imparts an undeniable sense of style to this compact desk while never compromising on its functionality.
The essence of a producer desk is a large surface area for computer screens, speakers, and accessories with a pull-out tray for the master keyboard or other controllers. The new Miza M FLEX builds on the embodiment of this essence achieved by its predecessor and enhances it with a number of amenities for the modern media professional. While the overall footprint remains fairly compact, Miza M FLEX uses the entire space of the area it covers to grant one big, even surface. The versatility gained from the large desktop qualifies Miza M FLEX for a variety of different applications from audio design to video editing. Screens, controllers, all-in-one systems, speakers – everything finds its place on the wide plane of Miza M FLEX. And more: the height-adjustable pull-out tray can hold up to 40 kg of weight – perfect for a master keyboard or heavy controllers. With its Dual Rail System and the solid supports on each side, the tray remains perfectly stable even when fully extended. Despite its ostensibly simple design, the Miza M FLEX features a distinguished cable management optimised by experience to keep the wiring out of sight. The elegant Miza design makes sure that its phenomenal functionality also pleases the aesthetic senses.
ZAOR MIZA V-Stands were designed with two main criteria in mind: They should be affordable and yet designed to the best standards of technical performance and design.
We chose the same materials as for the other items in the MIZA range, but with two particulars, that make it a very professional and highly useable speaker stand:
- We added a pad of AERSTOP on top of the stand, that helps isolate the speaker from the stand, reducing the propagation of lower frequency content through the speaker to the floor and thus the room.
- They are available in two fixed heights!

Zaor has given a lot of thought to the needs of the modern musician, producer, project studio, post production and created a platform, where the user decides precisely what he needs and where. We created the basic desk: MIZA Z. The characteristic look of ZAOR with the big Z on the side, the huge drawer which leaves countless possibilities, from master keyboard, to small mixer, controller to the various machines and launch pads that are the tools of the modern DJ/producer will find their home in this huge and solid space, with a roll out system known from the popular MIZA 88 XL and MIZA X.
The ONDA stems from the request of some of our customers to combine a light, but solid work desk with some rack spaces on the left and right hand side, at the same time providing a surface on top of those rack spaces to put some studio monitors. The focus is on durable quality with side panels, front arm rest, top panels and feet being crafted from solid local oak.
It comes in a straight version, with the two rack bays running in parallel or angled at 18 degrees, providing a trapeze shaped work surface, widening towards the back. As a further customer wish granted, the ONDA has a lowered panel in the back of the work surface, allowing to place a screen on its foot level with the desktop. There are cable passages in all the right places.
Considering the diversity of musician/producer’s needs, the ONDA can be easily adapted in width, height, angle and number of rack spaces to fit all kinds of configurations, such as adding controllers, mixers, deeper or no screen drop down. So with a few mods, anyone can create a very personal yet affordable production desk that comes flat packed and with very sturdy mounting kits, so that if you need to move your studio one day, you can disassemble your desk and put it up in your new location.
Since it is almost impossible to predict the exact combination of body height, keyboard height and other gear, we made the key trolley height adjustable in 4 levels, so it always has the ideal compromise between legroom and best fit for any kind of master keyboard up to 88 keys or small mixer/controller and more. With a width of 57”3/4 (1469mm) and a depth of 15”3/4 (402mm), it accepts 98% of the keyboards on the market. The VISION K offers legroom from 22”3/4 to 24”3/4 (580 to 630 mm) which results in a height for the keyboard between 6” and 4” (152 to 104 mm). When you have a longer period where you don’t need the keyboard you can put it on the side using the 4 wheels and enjoy loads of legroom. You can also slide it under any other desk or use it as a standalone key trolley for your big master keyboard.
Large format consoles, towers of rack equipment and controllers for every parameter can be great fun – but sometimes, all you really need is your computer, a pair of headphones and a sturdy desk to rely on. Vision O makes a point of freeing your mind by freeing your space: the cleverly designed cable management hides all the necessary wires while still granting you easy access whenever required. Vision O is perfect for audio and video editing workstations, gaming, programming, and in-the-box mixing. A large computer screen in the middle, flanked by speakers left and right (ideally isolated from the desk with Zaor D-Stand Mk II), keyboard and mouse – neat and tidy, the Vision O is easy on the eye and inviting. The minimalist approach is popular among some of the most reputable creatives in the world and perfectly encapsulated by the elegant two-color design that manages to be both eye-catching yet widely compatible with all sorts of interiors. The compact dimensions of Vision O qualify the desk as an extension for existing setups. It can even be expanded by itself: the cable management is open to the sides, allowing for the seamless combination of multiple Vision O desks side-by-side. And for musicians looking for their new favorite songwriting spot, the Vision O can be augmented by the Vision K to integrate a master keyboard into the desk.
VISION OS desk in an iconic black and white design that offers enough open space for all devices needed in today’s creative workflowsThe iconic look is centred around a large V-shaped technical trough underneath the back of the desktop and plays with this element by giving open access from the sides both visually and physically. The modern scissor design allows for the desk to be compact when shipped yet very sturdy and strong, also thanks to the stabilising bar in the back bottom: no wobble but a firm and very usable surface.
The big brother of the VISION line is the VISION W workstation.
