EMPEROR 500 is an analog dynamics processor, which depending on the settings can work as a compressor, limiter or harmonics distortion generator. It was designed for creating the original, vivid, analog sound for instruments.
EMPEROR 500 is fitted with an intuitive, easy to operate control panel, deliberately rid of in/out meters or sound reduction indicators – so you could focus solely on the sound not the sight.
EMPEROR 500 is a creative device giving the sound a powerful, analog character. It’s not transparent. EMPEROR 500 uniquely enhances the perceived loudness, warms up and brightens the audio signal, depending on the DRIVE settings.
The very core of the EMPEROR 500 is a FET transistor responsible for sound reduction and introduction of a small amount of low order harmonics, and it’s design is inspired by the limiters and transistor compressors from the 60-ties. Apart from that EMPEROR 500 includes many original solutions stemmed from a long-term experience of Looptrotter in construction of dynamics processors, which guarantees unique sound.
EMPEROR 500 is equipped with two, independently working filters embedded in the control circuit. This gives the possibility to create the timbre without unwelcome phase shifting: in case of cutting the low frequencies in the control signal, the EMPEROR 500 acts more transparent and natural with the signals rich in low frequencies like kick drum, or bass guitar. This can decrease the distortion of low frequencies and the pumping effect; while boosting the high frequencies in the control signal the EMPEROR 500 acts like an analog de-esser, or very fast compressor for bright and dynamic instruments.
EMPEROR 500 offers three factory presets of attack/release:
FAST – the fastest setting of processor’s attack and release makes the EMPEROR 500 work as a limiter. This preset gives rich, dense input signal saturation;
MED – this preset makes the EMPEROR 500 work like a fast compressor;
SLOW – this preset makes the EMPEROR 500 work more like an analog compressor than limiter.
EMPEROR 500 has also an independent control over DRY and WET signal. This allows to decide whether the audio tracks need only slight colorization, preserving the original dynamics, or if running the signal through EMPEROR 500 in 100% is required.
Monster is a device tailor–made for sound engineers and producers who are looking for solid, stable and saturated sounds. It is an incredible accompaniment to the soulless and transparent digitaltechnique. The compressor system stabilises the signal before the tube saturation, always in a verymusical fashion. The unique cooperation of compression and tube saturation allows the sound to come closer, to emphasize its details and to re-energise it. It makes the sound more tangible and friendlier to the ear. Monster is a collection of the best solutions from the world of analogue circuit-engineering. It is characterised by the highest quality of sound processing, thanks to the minimalist signal patch, based on specially selected elements. The FET transistor, which is optimised to use the function ofharmonic generation with low value, is responsible for the reduction of the signal. Amplification takes place on an operational amplifier, which is constructed from discrete elements. The signal patch for the compressor is devoid of condensers, which can adversely influence the sound. The saturation system uses military grade tubes with extended lifecycle. Balancing and debalancing is based on high-quality integrated circuits made with the audio in mind. Transformers can also be used as an option, to be ordered individually. The wide range of settings makes Monster perfect when processing tracks, groups, as well as during the mastering process. All parameters, except saturation, are regulated with the use of a switches, a functional solution for quick recall of setting parameters and invaluable when working on stereo tracks. Advantages: · Original construction guarantees original sound. · Minimalist signal path, based on specially selected elements, guarantees the highest quality of sound. · The FET transistor, responsible for signal reduction, ensures fast compression and generates even harmonics, positively affecting the presence and legibility of tracks in a mix. · The signal behind the compressor is amplified by the operational amplifier with discrete elements, without the use of condensers which degrade the sound. · The saturation system uses military grade tubes with extended lifecycle; they ensure lack of operational issues and an excellent sound. · The function of even harmonics generation within the tube saturation system. · The possibility of quick recall setting of parameters, thanks to a switch regulation system. · The „MIX” function allows for mixing a clear signal with a processed one.
SATUR-8/24 is the 24 channel summing unit containing 8 channels with analog saturation. The design refers to the sound of old tube mixing consoles and tape recorders.
The summing module is an original combination of active summing, run by operational amplifiers and passive voltage summing based on transformers. The mixed signal is amplified by a transistor preamplifier operating in pure class A, built of discrete elements, inspired by the early designs of transistor preamps from the 60's.
Additionally the summing circuit is fitted with a “Magic” module, which magically nears, widens and thickens the whole mix, giving it a vivid, analog sound.
SATUR-8/24 is both versatile and creative tool for processing of tracks, subgroups and the entire mix.

The signal path of the EMPEROR LIMITER is 100% analog, but all the signal switches and potentiometers are digital. The LINK option allows the control of both channels through left channel only. The 1% potentiometers used guarantee precise concurrency of both channels.
EMPEROR LIMITER is an analog device, accurate and reliable.
The second generation of the dual channel saturator is fitted with Looptrotter’s world famous solid state saturation circuit. It was created to add low order harmonics and smoothly even the signal in a musical and ear friendly way, significantly increasing the RMS level without raising peaks at the same time, so desired in modern music production.
Generation 2 upgrades include:
TRS instrument inputs (-10dB)
LO Safe/ HI Smooth THD filters
DRY/WET signal control
LOOPTROTTER SAT 500 is a single channel module in 500 format fitted with Looptrotter’s world famous saturation circuit. I was created to add low order harmonics and smoothly even the signal, all in an amazingly musical and ear friendly way, significantly increasing the RMS level at the same time.
DRIVE controls the input level of the processed signal and the depth of saturation.
PROCESS (True Bypass) allows to switch between dry and saturated signal. The amount of added harmonics is indicated by two LEDs, lighting up at 4 and 8% THD.
HI SMOOTH function boosts high frequencies before the saturation circuit and attenuates them after. This allows higher saturation of high frequencies with harmonics, and smoothes the signal with subtle compression to the ear.
The LO SAFE option turns on the pre-emphasis and de-emphasis circuit, “preventing” the lowest frequencies from distortion. This option is specifically useful while processing instruments with content rich in low frequencies, bass, kick drum, drum group or the whole mix.
Independent DRY and WET signal control allows to achieve perfect blend between processed and dry signal in chain. The module may sound very subtle, adding slight colorization or aggressive when 100% of saturation is engaged.
