Der Lake People Monitor Controller MC100 bietet mit seinen 5 Eingängen, darunter ein USB-Eingang mit hochwertigem D/A Wandler, 2 Slave Ausgängen, 3 Lautsprecherausgängen plus Subwoofer Ausgang und dem Kopfhörerweg mit X-Feed deutlich mehr als übliche Monitor Controller. Das komplette Set von Manipulationsmöglichkeiten des Stereosignals wie Solo L/R, Kanaltausch, Phase Reverse, Mono, Mute und Dim und die hochwertige Lautstärkeregelung heben ihn aus der Masse heraus. Daneben ist er so rausch- und klirrarm, wie die Physik es zulässt.
Die Stereo Eingänge:

Die Eingänge werden auf der Front über Taster entweder einzeln aktiviert oder summierendgeschaltet, aktive Eingänge werden über LEDs angezeigt. Die unsymmetrischen Eingänge (Input 3 und 4) können jeweils auf eine Empfindlichkeit -10 dBV oder +4 dBu gesetzt werden. Die LED des USB Eingangs zeigt PCM Signale in grün und DSD Signale in blau.
Das Stereosignal kann umfangreich über Tasten manipuliert werden. Der jeweils aktivierte Zustand wird über LEDs signalisiert. Es lassen sich der linke oder der rechte Kanal Solo schalten, Rechts und Links vertauschen, der linke Kanal in der Phase tauschen oder das Signal kann auf Mono geschaltet werden. Weiter stehen Dim (-20 dB) und Mute zur Verfügung.
Die Lautstärke Regelung:
Der hochwertige gerasterte Alps RK27 Lautstärkeregler mit 41-facher Rasterung und massivem 50 mm Knopf bedient die drei Ausspielwege plus den Subwoofer Ausgang.
Die Stereo Ausgänge:
Die rückseitigen Slave Ausgänge „Slave Out 1“ und „Slave Out 2“ liegen auf symmetrischen XLR-Buchsen, sie können auch unsymmetrisch betrieben werden. Hier können Pegelmesser und weitere Geräte unter Umgehung der Lautstärkeregelung versorgt werden.
Die rückseitigen Ausgänge „A, B, C und Sub (Mono)“ liegen auf symmetrischen XLR Buchsen, sie können auch unsymmetrisch betrieben werden. Alle Gruppen können 3-stufig (0, -6, -12 dB) über Schalter im Pegel angepasst werden.
Die Ausgangsgruppen „A, B und C“ lassen sich per Tastendruck gegenseitig auslösend oder summierend schalten. Der „Sub“ Ausgang kann individuell zugeschaltet werden, die Zuordnung zur jeweiligen Gruppe wird gespeichert – so muss sie nach einem Wechsel nicht ständig wiedergesetzt werden.
Der Kopfhörer-Verstärker wird über einen Taster separat aktiviert, er besitzt einen eigenen Lautstärkeregler. Ferner kann X-Feed zugeschaltet werden, dieser Effekt minimiert die „Im-Kopf-Lokalisation“ bei Hören über Kopfhörer, simuliert also eine Wiedergabe über Lautsprecher. Der X-Feed Effekt ist über einen Regler einstellbar. Der Kopfhörerverstärker ist ausgesprochen kräftig, es lassen sich Kopfhörer mit 6.3 mm und 3.5 mm Klinke anschliessen.
