The IGS Audio PTC is a classic pure tube microphone preamp built with a minimalistic approach and only the highest-quality passive components. Featuring an IGS Custom input transformer, two military-grade tubes (6N2P-EW and 6N1P-EW) operating in Class A, and an IGS Custom output transformer, the signal path is as short as possible, using only two Mundorf capacitors for maximum tube character with minimal non-harmonic distortion. A high-impedance instrument input feeds directly to the tube grid, making it ideal for recording guitar, bass, or sound modules with authentic tube warmth. The combination of input and output transformers provides galvanic isolation, superior CMRR, and rich musical harmonics. Rear-panel connectivity includes dual XLRs and easily accessible tube sockets for effortless maintenance.
